Morgan Hill, CA September 23, 2003 Stronger Medical Instruments and Berson & Associates Announce the release of the Steiner Titanium Calipers designed to avoid tip deformation.
These calipers were developed in conjunction with Dr Michael Steiner, a noted cosmetic and ophthalmic plastic
surgeon in the state of Washington. Dr Steiner chose titanium as the calipers’ material because of its high strength to weight ratio and resistance to corrosion. The purpose was to maintain accurate measurements after cycles of cleaning by avoiding deformation of the tips. Dr Steiner has tested several pairs of the calipers over a one-year period and found them superior to anything previously available. Stronger has now decided to release the calipers to the general market. The calipers have straight tips and measure from 0mm to 20mm in 1mm Increments. They are readable on both sides. A thumbscrew lock holds the desired setting. The overall length of the instrument is 85mm.
